  • Steptoe Battlefield State Park

    Steptoe Battlefield State Park Heritage Site is a four-acre day-use park in Rosalia. The site commemorates a battle between U.S. Army forces led by Colonel Edward Steptoe and several Native American tribes from eastern Washington that occurred in 1858.

  • Steptoe Butte State Park

    High above the Palouse Hills on the eastern edge of Washington, Steptoe Butte offers unparalleled views of a truly unique landscape. The warm quartzite bluff stands out against soft hills of green and mauve, an occasional barn dotting the landscape. Colors seem to shift and change in the light.

    1 pm – 5 pm and 6 pm – 8 pm

    Daily Swim $2

    Single Swim pass $35

    Family Swim pass $70

    Large, fenced pool within the park.

    Lifeguards on duty during pool hours.

    Users of the pool are expected to always obey lifeguard instructions.

  • Rosalia City Park

    Located at the corner of W. 9th Street and Park Ave. 

    Swimming pool. See detailed information elsewhere on this site. 

    Restrooms open in the summer only. Daytime only. 

    Shaded lawn area. 

    Covered picnic area. 

    A simple kitchen which can be rented.

    Kids play area with climbing toys, swings, etc.

    Across the street from basketball/tennis court.

    For the safety and health of all park visitors, dogs must be on leash and cleaned up after. 

    No alcohol permitted in the park.

  • Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail

    (Previously known as the John Wayne Pioneer Trail/Iron Horse State Park) gives hikers, cyclists and, in some places, equestrians, a taste of Washington’s diversity. Tent Camping is allowed at Rosalia City Park. Fees for donation only.
